We just pulled out of Darwin,Australia after a 3 day stay. I only played a few sets during this time and I actually had all day and night Friday off. It tends to go something like this- as soon as the boat docks, most of the passengers disembark and the Cruise Director schedules as much time off for me as he can. I am then free to do whatever I want. It's the funniest thing, and I'm definately not used to it. If someone were to ask me how I earned my paycheck over the past three days, I don't know what I would say..
All I know is that if I ever begin to sound like I'm taking this for granted, somebody please just shoot me.
Darwin is a very nice city. It is the Capital of the "Northern Territory" and there seems to be alot of interesting historical events that have taken place there. The city itself is very modern as it has been rebuilt several times due to bombing during World War II and cyclone damage.
We are now enroute to Cooktown and eventually back to Brisbane at the end of this month. Hope to have some pictures posted soon!
Obviously Derrick is now working alot, he hasn't updated in awhile
